Books were one of the common interests we share. Lunes a Viernes desde las 20hs solo de noche. Thanks to this site for helping me find my knight in shining armour.
The Singles SIG is an association for unmarried nudists who wish to meet other singles in a social setting. Written by a male who wishes to remain anonymous. I don't know if they came under new ownership, but now that they belong to AANR, they were very accommodating of me a single male visitor [or rather traveling alone]. Now, pure resort settings, like Cypress Cove, seem to have more couples in general.
In this case, I find a nice sunny spot away from the crowds and just enjoy the sun. I realize that some couples like to associate with other couples without any third wheels. When I attend as a single male, they treat me as an equal without an air of suspicion. Co-ops also seem to be very accommodating. It's a strange climate, one that I think is not as discriminating as we think.
However, there is sometimes this cloud of suspicion that is easily perceived and felt. As a minority, I can usually tell when race is an issue. The same is true with discriminatory nudist clubs. I've never seen anyone, male or female, ejected from a club for perverse behavior. Everyone is trying to get to know each other. One of the men I spoke to had been dared to come along, while another mentioned that he had gone to regular speed dating, so why not go all the way? Overall, the people who attended this event were just normal men and women with a good sense of humour, eager to try something new.
While the majority of the men who sat down across from me avoided staring at my breasts, this man was more than happy to express his thoughts on my body. Another male guest was no stranger to flashing his naked body. During round two, the conversation was flowing and the fact that we were all naked was almost forgotten completely. People were confidently bending over the bar to order drinks with their bums in the air, standing up and jiggling their penises, breasts and bottoms for a laugh.
People having sex in the toilets, people breaking into venues because their boyfriend was there, cat-fights and drunk people fighting. As he blew his whistle and told us it was time to get our clothes back on, there were disappointed sighs across the room.
Once we were dressed and back downstairs in the general bar, some people suddenly got shy. Whether it was the bourbon, the friendly group of people or the fact that I was welcomed to show off my body without judgement, naked speed dating could revolutionise how we feel about our bodies. I said yes to three men in total and matched with two, one of which I took home that evening.
If not for the dating itself, just for the fun of it. Date In A Dash will be hosting more naked speed dating events so keep your eyes peeled. The show is available now on iTunes here and on Soundcloud here. Metro bloggers Miranda Kane and Bibi Lynch co-host the show, chatting to a different guest about all things sex and relationships each week.
